KissAnime is the pirated or copyright anime streaming website. The site offers completely free to use and to download animations; it is a portal of huge animation database which is a first go-to place if you’re an anime fan.
What happened to kissanime?
Anime fans all over the world were recently hit with a bad news when the popular animation site kissanime.ru was taken down in a cyber-attack in December 2016. Anyone who used to stream anime through kissanime.to was unable to do so. Is kissanime down? was the trending search on Google as millions of fans were affected by the hack.
The hackers hacked into the original site and created a fake KissAnime site with the extension of kissanime.io. The entire system of was hacked and all three original domains were down. It is speculated that the attacked happened to steal the entire video database and reformatted/reinstalled their servers.
Though, the problem seems to have been resolved. As the KissAnime.ru is up and running. According to CurrentlyDown.com, the website is functioning smoothly and now no issue has been detected.
The owner of the site confirmed this news of site being hacked on Reddit blog while sharing the good bit that their two original sites (now redirected to kissanime.ru) have successfully been taken back. They’re working with the domain provider to take back .me extension as
well.
